Rita Ann Ray

Rita Ann Ray, 75, of Saucier, MS passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 in Saucier.

She was born on July 22, 1948 in San Bernardino, CA to Frank Bishop and Mary Elizabeth “Jerry” Green.  Rita enjoyed embroidering, her dogs and cats and baking.  Chef Rita left a lasting legacy on the culinary scene of the Gulf Coast.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her spouse, James Preston Ray; her daughter, Jamie Ray Pechawer; son-in law, Joshua Pechawer; grandchild Aidan Preston Mahr; siblings Frank Bishop and Terry Little and her dogs, Patches and Tracker.

There are no services scheduled at this time.  The family prefers donations to Metairie Humane Shelter, 6213 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003.
