Rita Mae Smith

Mrs. Rita Mae Smith, age 91, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023.

Mrs. Smith was born on December 25, 1931 in Biloxi, MS to the late Jimmie and Helen Hughes. She worked at Biloxi Shrimp Factory and was a former employee of Keesler Air Force Base. During her spare-time she enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Smith; daughter, Helen R. Catchot; and grandson, Timothy Alan White.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, Arthur Catchot, James E. Smith and Eva M. Tims (John); grandchildren, Norman Bleuler (Patricia), Andy Jaenne (Maria), Harry E. Smith, Jimmy E. Smith (Samantha), Alex White (Rachel) and Kristen David (Andrew); and by her great grandchildren, Norman Bleuler, Nina Bleuler, Karina Bleuler, Cameron White, Caleb David, Kenzie David, Cade White, Callie White, Evalynn White, Audrey White, Lexie White, Gracie White, Alec Pereida, Sienna Pereida, Luca Smith, Lucas Jaenne, Phillip Jaenne, and Gage Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow service at Biloxi City Cemetery.
