R.J. "Jay" Bellew

R.J. “Jay” Bellew, Jr., age 76, of Gulfport, MS died Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Gulfport. Jay was born in Harrison County, MS and was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He graduated from Perkinson High School and was the retired owner of Bellew Welding. Jay enjoyed horseback riding and kayaking. His hobby was showing off his 1933 Ford pickup, 1936 Chevy sedan and 1952 Ford truck. He is preceded in death by his wife Diana Jean Yocom Bellew. He is survived by his brother-in-law and best friend Brad Yocom and his wife Jeanie, mother-in-law Artie Yocom, beloved girlfriend Earline Cuave, best friend David Taylor and many, many friends and critters. To know Jay was to love him. There will be a graveside service Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Coalville Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. The family prefers donations to the Harrison County Humane Society, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
