Robert Arnold Harwell

Robert A. Harwell, our beloved, was called to join his heavenly Father into eternal life, on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. He was born in Helena, Arkansas, on August 16, 1947, was a Gulf Coast resident since 1960, and attended St. Martin High School. He served active duty during the Vietnam era in the Armed Forces. Robert retired from Northrop Grumman after 33 years of employment. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church in D'Iberville and served as an usher. He was an avid outdoorsman of every season and enjoyed the fellowship with friends and nature. His real passion was serving his Lord. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Hurshel Earl Harwell, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Virginia Harwell of Biloxi, his wife of 38 years, Dolores "Dodie" Harwell, son, J.E. Harwell and wife, Cindy, daughter, Brandy Moore and husband, Mike, six loving grandchildren, Katelyn Harwell, Hannah Harwell, Bradley Brimmer, Ashton Hughes, Brandon Hughes, and adopted granddaughter, Erin Schreck, brothers, Hurshel (Sue Dell) Harwell, Ronnie (Gail) Harwell, Clarence (Nelda) Harwell, sisters, Debbie (Clay) Caillavet, and Sue (Rusty) Quave, uncle, Sonny (Iris) Heinrich and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, May 15, 2006, from 9-10 AM, with a 10 AM church service, all at Heritage United Methodist Church in D'Iberville. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
