Robert “Bob” Collom, Sr. of Vancleave, 74, died Friday, July 26, 2013 in Vancleave, MS.
Mr. Collom is a native of Ellisville, MS and a resident of the Coast for the last 51 years, 45 of those in Vancleave. He retired from Chevron as an Operations Supervisor. Bob is of the Baptist faith. He is a 32 degree Mason and former Past Master for Ezel Lodge #426 in Vancleave and a member of ABBA Shrine Temple in Mobile, AL.
Mr. Collom is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Thelma Collom; and sister, Doris Knipp.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanelle Madden Collom; sons, Robert “Tommy” Collom, Jr., William “Bill” Collom, and Clinton Allen Collom; sister, Elizabeth Robinson (Charles); brother, Marion Collom (Pat); grandchildren, Garrett Collom, Laurin Collom, and Lynsi Collum; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Vancleave Cemetery on Jim Ramsay Road.
