Robert "Bob" Francis Miller, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Bob was born on September 14, 1941, in Astoria, New York. He graduated from the University of Tampa with a BS in business. He was commissioned in the U.S. Army in February 1967 and served his country for over 20 years. During his career, he had tours of duty in Vietnam, where he flew Chinook 47 helicopters and in Belgium, as one of General Goodpaster's, (NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe) helicopter pilots. Other tours included Korea, twice in Germany, and many states in the USA. He retired from the military in May 1991.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His commitment to his family was unwavering.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mary of 58 years and four children; sons, Rob and Sean; daughters, Dawn and Samantha; sisters, Ellen Johnson and Diana Hagan; grandchildren, Kendra, Robbie, lan, Hayden, Bayley, Matthew, and Emily, 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:30am on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
