Robert L Henry

Robert L. Henry, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in Gulfport, MS, with his family by his side. Mr. Henry was born in La Belle, MO to Ballard and Bertha Henry. He graduated from Quincy High School in Quincy, IL. He began his long career with Gardner Denver Industries, in Quincy after graduation and retired from Danmar Industries in Houston, TX in 2013. Throughout his life he was a member of the Masons, also participating in the Al-Chymia Shrine in Memphis, TN and most recently the Joppa Shrine in Biloxi. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Long Beach, MS where he was able to enjoy riding his motorcycle and restoring his antique truck. Mr. Henry is survived by Janice, his wife of 45 years and his daughters and their families- Dawn and Kevin Carlisle and grandsons Parker and Spencer and Heather and Lenny Sawyer III and grandsons Stokley and Henry. Other survivors include his 3 sisters Nancy McClean, Shirley Henry-Biszantz, and Geneva Burgtorf. Visitation will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a service to follow, all at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The family prefers memorials be given to the Joppa Shriners, 13280 Shriner's Blvd, Biloxi MS 39532. Please denote Transportation Fund with memorials.
