Robert J. Parker, 87, of Saucier, a former longtime resident of D’Iberville, died on Monday, December 12, 2011 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Mr. Parker was born in Beaumont, MS in 1924. He was retired Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Masonic Temple in Biloxi. He enjoyed deer hunting and raising cattle and horses.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Columbus and Florence Parker; a brother, C.D. Parker; two sisters, Mae Hammond and Ira Jordon.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian E. Menard Parker; two sons, Robert E. Parker, Carl J. Parker (Marjorie); two sisters, Elsie Moran, Lue Morrow, a brother, W.L. Parker; four grandchildren, Robbie Parker (Andria) Shelly Ludlow, Melanie parker, Morgan Parker; two great grandchildren, Jonah Ludlow, Drew Parker; two nephews, Calvin Beaugez, Rondell Young and many other nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., where friends may visit, 9:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
