Robert Joseph Papania

Mr. Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Papania, 55, of Gulfport, MS, died Friday, February 17, 2006, in Gulfport. Mr. Papania was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and a member of St. John Catholic Church. He was a self-employed contractor and previously served in the United States Army. He was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary where he was the first president. Mr. Papania was preceded in death by his parents, Callie and Joseph Papania. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Rene Papania, of Gulfport; three sisters, Mary Ann "Sister" Carmack of Gulfport, Joyce Papania of Whittier, CA, and Nellie Garcia of Albuquerque, NM and two grandchildren, Destiny and Bryle "All Boy". The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport at 2 p.m. where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
