Robert David Lane

Robert David Lane, age 80, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Gulfport. Mr. Lane was born in Kingsport, TN and was a resident of Biloxi since 1991. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a MSGT in 1971 and from Hardee’s as Director of Operations in 1991. He was employed with Rhinetta Homes at the time of his death. Mr. Lane was a member of Coalville United Methodist Church and he had a strong faith,sharing his love for Christ with others. He loved his family, football, Nascar and traveling with his wife and family. Mr. Lane is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Joseph and Effie May Castelle Lane. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Kim Marie Lane; his children, Robin (John) Johnson, Alan (Michelle) Lane, Chris (Dallas) Lane and Jennifer Lane (Josh) Smith; his sister, Dorothy (Ben) Moore; ten grandchildren; and many others that loved and adored him. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Coalville United Methodist Church in memory of Mr. Robert Lane, 12298 Shorecrest Rd., Biloxi, MS 39532. Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Coalville United Methodist Church on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. where friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at the Coalville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
