Mr. Robert “Bobby” Mallette Sr, age 69, of D’Iberville, MS passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019.
Mr. Mallette was born on March 25, 1949 in Biloxi, MS and went to Vancleave High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, cooking, gardening and was an avid Nascar race fan. He was a member of the Hyde and Hair Hunting Club. He looked forward to his long conversations with his cousin, Connie. He loved to lend a helping hand when needed and spending time with his granddaughter, Paxlynn, who he made sure she always had her animal cookies. He was a loving son-in-law and always made sure “Ms. Shirley” was taken care of and loved talking about his fishing trip with Mr. Vernon. Bobby loved his sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Mickey), Melanie and Shirley Rose (Stephen) and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby had a high regard for the military and especially for the veterans.
Mr. Mallette is preceded in death by his parents, George Mallette and Lila Etherton; siblings. George Errol Mallette, Darlene Barton and Brian Mallette.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Deborah Santa Cruz Mallette; children, Garth Mallette, Robert Mallette Jr, Buford J. Mallette, Rocky Mallette and Sean (Christel) Keefe of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Paxlynn, Austin, Jordan, Lila, Karter, Sean Jr, Ashley, Lindsey and Tegan; numerous great grandchildren; and siblings, Glenda Inabinette, Carolyn (Ken) Newman, Ronnie Mallette, Marlene Ainsworth and Tammy (Scott) Nobles.
Services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 1pm. Friends may visit from 11-1pm. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
