Robert "Bob” Speigl, 67 of Biloxi MS, (previously Petoskey, MI) passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at the Biloxi Veterans Hospital.
Bob was born on July 12, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI to Joseph and Mary Speigl (Courtade). Bob was raised on the family farm in Petoskey, MI. He graduated from Sparta H.S. in 1966, and he continued his education at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey, MI. Bob served our country as a Medic in the Vietnam War. After the war he spent the majority of his career as an over –the- road truck driver. After his career Bob continued to travel the United States visiting his children along the way. He loved gardening with his worm dirt, collecting LP’s and watching old westerns. Bob had quite an adventurous spirit.
Bob is survived by his longtime companion and caregiver Jennifer Speigl, Daughters Tiffany Phillips (Scott) Biloxi, MS, Veronica Sabota, Spokane Valley, WA, Melany Imes (Justin) Missoula, MT and JoHanna Speigl Biloxi MS. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Ray (Mary), Martin, and Philip (Janet) and his sisters Kathy (Dick) Bliss, and Marguerite (James) Konkel. Bob is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sister JoAnn and brother Russel.
