Robert W. Kiernan

Mr. Robert W. Kiernan, Sr., age 70, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the USA Hospital in Mobile, AL. Mr. Kiernan was a lifelong resident of the coast, served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was employed as a lifelong dry- waller with his brother, George A. Kiernan, Jr. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael W. Kiernan, and a granddaughter, Shea Kiernan, parents, George A. Kiernan Sr. and Carolyn Webb Kiernan, sister, Vivian Seidule Provost, and brothers, George A. Kiernan, Jr. and Patrick F. Kiernan. Survivors include daughters, Terri Lee (Mike) Cannette of Latimer, MS., and Linda (Terry) Sawyer of New York, son, Robert Wayne Kiernan, Jr., two sisters, Sylvia F. (Bobby) Catchot and Brenda C. (Ronnie) Mallette, all of Vancleave, MS., nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 14, 2011, from 1 pm until 2 pm for family and 2 pm until 3 pm for friends, with a 3 pm chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Vancleave.
