Robert Harold "Cool" Watson

Robert H. “Cool” Watson, Jr. Age 65, of Gulfport passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020. He was born in Biloxi and was a resident of Gulfport. He was a graduate of Gulfport East High School and two years of Metal Trades at Jefferson Davis Campus. He worked for Struthers Wells, Palmer Tool, Yates and his most loved job at Austal USA. His compassion for others was unmatched. He loved being at home caring for his yard, washing his vehicles, being with his dogs and grand-dogs who never wanted for anything when he was around. He especially loved spending time with his great-grandson. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Watson and mother, Graceline Watson; and brother, Derek L. Watson. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl “Cherie” Watson; son, Robert D. Watson“Robby”; grandchildren, Kristin Watson, Sierra Watson, Destiny Swigert; great grandchildren, Maddox Watson, Tinley Holliman; siblings, Cindy Gordon, Vicki Bingman, Linda Anstead; and pets Buddy and Bella and several grand-dogs. He loved all his puppies! The family would like to extend their thank you to Dr. M. Payment, Dr. P. Pande, and Dr. Watts for their care of Robert. There will be a Celebration of Life Service starting at noon on Saturday, October 3,2020 at 17606 Doc Lizana Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
