Roberta "Bobbie" Alice Coale

Mrs. Roberta "Bobbie" Alice McMillan-Coale, 80, a resident of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Coale was born in New Lexington, OH on February 29, 1928 to John and Edna McMillan. She was a member of the Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Brentwood, TN. Prior residencies included Franklin, TN, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Northbrook and Park Ridge, IL. She was retired from Vanderbilt/Peabody University, Department of Alumni Development. She gave and received an emense amount of love in her life time, having extrodinary depth of caring, understanding, inspirational moral support and empathy with a selfless devotion to her friends and family. Mrs. Coale was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph T. Coale; brothers, John and Andrew; and sisters, Bessie, Isabella and Mona Jean. She is survived by her brother, Thomas McMillan of Tampa, FL; sons, Gregory S. Coale and his wife, Toni F., and S. Todd Coale; and granddaughter, Jacqueline of Biloxi. A private ceremony will be held in Biloxi for friends and family. Funeral ceremony and interment will be at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN with her husband. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers Mrs. Coale would wish for contributions be made to a charty of one's choice in her name.
