Roberta Johnson

Roberta "Bobbi" Johnson, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010. She was surrounded by her loving family. Bobbi was born in Matewan, WV and lived on the Gulf Coast since 1967. She was the owner of two businesses. She was also past Treasurer of Kings Daughters, but her charity also extended to many Ocean Springs residents. No one ever went hungry at her motels and she always had a listening ear. Bobbi contributed to Easter Seals and many other charitable organizations. She was preceded in death by her son, John Earl Johnson; parents, Earl P. and Mary Hall Mink and brother, Charles A. Mink. Bobbi leaves behind to celebrate her life, three sons, Willis Harrison Johnson (Jason DeRose) of CA, Michael Johnson (Patsy Williams) and James Kevin (Sharon) Johnson of Ocean Springs; two brothers, Lenny (Ruthie) Mink of Baltimore, MD and Paul (Maureen) Mink of Silver Springs, MD; one sister-in-law, Margaret; two grandchildren, Michael Alexander Johnson of Charleston, SC and Jan Morano of Ocean Springs, MS; two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Logan and many nieces and nephews. Bobbi was especially close to Angela Hester. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. where friends may visit from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend many thanks and gratitude to Bruce Holland.
