Rodney "Rod" Hamilton

Mr. Rodney "Rod" Hamilton, 65, of Woolmarket went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 1, 2005. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a deputy with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office for fifteen years. He also served with the V. A. Police for seventeen years after which he retired. He was a charter member of the Gulf Coast Fraternal Order of Police Mr. Hamilton was a member of Coalville United Methodist Church in Woolmarket. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Gerry Hamilton; two daughters, Cindy Hamilton Holland and her husband, Gilbert, and Dianne Hamilton Hawkins and her husband, Gary, all of Woolmarket; five grandchildren, Gilbert Holland, IV, Christopher Holland, Jared Pelaez, Austin Hawkins and Noah Hawkins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Coalville Cemetery.
