Mr. Rogers L. Broussard, age 88, of Biloxi, MS died Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Biloxi, MS.
Mr. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army where he received a Purple Heart and numerous other medals for his valiant service in the Korean War. He returned home to serve his country again by working in the Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base for over 30 years where he was honored with the Sustained Superior Performance Award upon his retirement. Mr. Broussard was a master gardener, a splendid chef, and most of all a devoted Uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Evorise Broussard; brother, Cyrus "Peanut" Broussard and his beloved sister Lola Mae Derouen.
Survivors include: his great nephew who was like his son, Kevin Felsher (Crystal Lucas Felsher), his two great-great nephews who he cherished dearly, Carson and Cooper Felsher, and many other nieces and nephews who he loved. A special thank you to Mary and Larry Lucas who Mr. Broussard considered his special friends over the past two decades.
Rogers will be missed beyond measure by those who knew him.
