Rogers "R.C." Penfield

Rogers Clifford "R.C." Penfield, age 92, of Ocean Springs, MS, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Ocean Springs. R.C. served in the U.S. Military in World War II. He was active in Real Estate in Ocean Springs and Gautier. His other activities and memberships included Jackson County Board of Realtors, First Baptist Church of Gautier, 50 year membership in various Masonic Bodies on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to include The Masonic Lodge #633, The Joppa Shrine Temple, The Gautier Rotary Club and The Ocean Springs Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Group. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Irving and Annie Rogers Penfield; his wives, Frances Nelson Penfield and Frances Duke Penfield; his sisters, Margaret, Agnes and Lucille; his brothers, Henry and Edward. Survivors include his two sons, R.C. Penfield, Jr. and David N. Penfield; and five grandchildren; R.C. III, Elizabeth, David Jr., Taylor and Leigh Anne; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in the Ocean Springs Stateroom of Bradford O'Keefe on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service. There will be a graveside service on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.
