Ronald A. Zewicke

Mr. Ronald A. Zewicke, age 72, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, May 16, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Zewicke was born on January 22, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, and was a coast resident for the past 46 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1968 and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Pepperdine University in 1978. Mr. Zewicke completed Air Command and Staff College in 1982. He enlisted in the U. S Air Force in 1951 and received his technical training in Air Traffic Control. He retired on July 1, 1971. He then entered Civil Service as an instructor in the Air Traffic Control Course at Keesler Air Force Base. He retired from civil service after 19 years of service as GM-13. Ron loved the USM Golden Eagles and was a huge fan of Brett Farve and the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of the American Legion in Gautier and the Ocean Springs Elks Lodge #2501. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Elan Zewicke of Ocean Springs, MS., a son, Bruce T. Zewicke and wife, Sharon, of Jacksonville, FL., and a grandson, Sean Patrick Zewicke of Lexington, KY. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Thursday, May 19, 2005, there will be a 12 Noon chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
