Ronald Arthur Burge, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Arthur Burge, Sr, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Mr. Burge was born on November 8, 1942, in Moss Point, MS. He was retired from the shipbuilding industry as a shipfitter. He was an avid fisherman and won numerous Bass tournaments over the years. He enjoyed barbecues and having shrimp boils with his family, playing the guitar, and carpentry. Mr. Burge was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Arthur Burge and Izetta Lee Burge, sister, Aleene English and step-daughter, Christine Watts. Survivors include his daughter, Stacey Burge of D'Iberville, MS, step-daughter, Susan Mitchell of Biloxi, MS, son, Ronald Arthur (Mary) Burge Jr. of Vancleave, MS, grandchildren, Jacob Burge, Breeanne Burge, Arron Duhon, Alicia Duhon and Abby Bruhl and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 1, from 10am until 11am, with an 11am Celebration of Life service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
