Ronald Gale Cole

Ronald Gale Cole, 84 of Long Beach, MS passed away on July 2, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport, MS with his entire family at his side. Ron was born on March 20, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church Parish in Long Beach, MS. Ron had been employed at Montcalm County Career Center in Sidney, Michigan and Montcalm Community College also in Sidney, Michigan as the Culinary Arts Instructor for nine years before moving to Long Beach, MS. Ron was employed at MGCCC at the West Harrison Campus as the Culinary Instructor from 1992 until 2001, at which time he retired. After his retirement, he was again employed with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department as a bailiff for the Honorable Judge Carter Bise. Ron had said it was the first job he ever had where he had no idea what to do. Ron enjoyed seven years and enjoyed his every day! He retired for a final time in 2015 due to health issues. Ron was preceded in death by his Father, Gale Laverne Cole and his dear Mother, Hazel Marie Cole. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Judith Cole; his children, Jeffrey and Deb Cole of Jenison, Michigan, Mark and Jackie Cole of Greenville, Michigan, Randy Cole of Kentwood, Michigan, Jill and Greg Ownsby of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Lori and Kevin Wittkowski of Greenville, Michigan, Lisa Cole of Jenison, Michigan, April and Ken Foster of Otsego, Michigan, Christine and Tim Spohn of Greenville, Michigan; 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport, is honored to serve this family.
