Ronald D. “Ron” Lessner, Sr., 78, passed away Dec. 8, 2021, at his home in Woolmarket, MS. Ron was born Nov. 11, 1943, in East Cleveland, OH. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in 1962, then served four years in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Keesler AFB, where he worked as a medic. He worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) for 23 years with numerous assignments throughout the U.S. and overseas (Belgium, The Netherlands, and South Korea). Ron enjoyed good food, good wine, and Ohio State Football (he always called them “My Buckeyes”). You could always get him fired up discussing religion and politics. He deeply loved his son, daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lessner; parents, Herman and Margaret Lessner; brother, Kenneth Lessner; in-laws, Jack and Audrey Breal; nephew, Brandon Breal; sister-in-law, Charlene Demoruelle; and brothers-in-law, Billy Demoruelle, Robert Leathers, and Dale Grimshaw.
