Ronald “Ronnie” Woodrow Donegan, Sr., age 77, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Ronnie was born on February 1, 1947 in Petal, MS. He attended The University of Southern Mississippi and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 until 1972. Ronnie was employed with Citi Financial for over 40 years. He was a dedicated member of St. James Catholic Church, Eucharistic Minister and CYO sponsor, St. James assistant football coach, and Hansboro Youth Baseball League coach. Ronnie enjoyed football, basketball, boating and fishing, and spending time with his family, grandkids, and friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Melton W. Donegan; mother, Dorothy M. Bryant; and brother, Richard W. Donegan.
Survivors include his mother, Fay M. Donegan; wife, Mary A. Faneca Donegan; sons, Ronald Woodrow Donegan, Jr. (Sharyl) and Brian Thomas Donegan; and grandchildren, Mary Sullivan Donegan, Taylor G. Donegan, Lucy W. Donegan, Caleb T. Donegan, Elizabeth C. Donegan, and Hayden J. Donegan; and siblings, Peggy Chapman, Debbie Hartfield, David Robbins, Don Robbins, Robbie Robbins, and Marie Howell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 10:30 until mass. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the family of Ronald Woodrow Donegan, Sr.
