Ronald Paul Krueger, age 85, passed away on December 14, 2020 at his home in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Ronald was born May 18, 1935 in Newark, New Jersey. He attended Duke University and Duke University Medical School. He was a doctor of Pediatrics, Urology, and Nephrology. He received the C.V. Mosby Award for Academic Excellence, and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
He served in the military and retired as a Brigadier General. While in the service, he was the Commander of the 172nd Medical Squadron for the Mississippi Air National Guard. He was also the State Air Surgeon for the Mississippi Air National Guard.
He loved to boat, was a skilled carpenter, and cherished his time with his dogs and cats. He also loved to read, honing his encyclopedic knowledge base while he did.
He is predeceased in death by his parents John Gottfried and Frances Alice Krueger, daughter Carol Krueger Edwards, and brother John G. Krueger, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife Catherine Krueger, daughter Patricia Krueger Goggans, stepchildren Paul F. Lucas and Kate Lucas Holland, and grandchildren Adrianne Post, Paul Clark, and Connor Goggans. He is also survived by his beloved dogs Mimzy and Chuck, and cats Abraham, Ava Jean, and Baby Kitty.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jackson County Humane Society.
