Ronald "Ronnie" Cullen Crosby, age 68, of Perkinston, MS passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in Perkinston.
He was born in Bakersfield, CA. on May 11, 1943. He served in the United States Army and after an honorable discharge he worked in various professions before becoming a firefighter. He retired as a fire- fighter driver operator after serving as a hoseman for the Gulfport Fire Department.
He then moved to Perkinston with his wife. They enjoyed working on their land, building projects, and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Crosby; parents, Mulford Cullen "Snooks" Crosby and Mildred Irene Crosby; and brother-in-law, Allen R. Cobb.
He is survived by his sister, Alice Melinda Crosby Cobb; niece, Amanda Cobb; nephew, Shane Cobb; and great nephews, Aiden, Evan, and Deven Cobb.
When "Ronnie" was a young man he enjoyed life and never met a stranger. When his beloved "B.C.", as he called his wife, passed away May 27, 2005 he was heartbroken. He mourned her until his health failed and he joined her again.
Ronnie and Betty went everywhere together in life and God in his mercy and love has joined them together again.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
