Ronnie Lee Hough

Ronnie Lee Hough, age 56, of Ocean Springs, MS., died suddenly on Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Ronnie was born February 20, 1953, in Oak Grove, LA., but had been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 12 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy Lee Hough of Pascagoula, MS. and Grace Lee Hough of Aberdeen, WA. Left behind to mourn his loss is his loving wife and constant companion, Nancy Holtz Hough, two young daughters, Charlotte (Charlie) and Morgan, sister and lifelong best friend, Cathey Fuller and her husband Joseph of Federal Way, WA., remaining sisters, Robin Halliday of Roy WA.; Cindy Gadbaw of Castelrock, WA.; and Rhonda Niel, parents-in-law, Jerry & Kathleen Holtz of Ocean Springs, and brothers-in-law, Terry Holtz of Vancleave, MS., Duane Holtz of Austin, TX. and Brian Holtz and his wife Melisse of Los Altos, CA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Zoe, Shannon, Heather, Gareth, Crystal Grace and Arthur Casey. Although born in Oak Grove, LA. he resided there for only a short time and had a rather nomadic life. Some of the many places he had called home during his life were Louisiana, Michigan, Arkansas, Washington State and Florida. He followed in his father’s footsteps and learned several trades and had many occupations during his life, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding and air conditioning. There were few things that Ronnie came across that he could not fix. He finally ended his tumbleweed life and put down roots in Ocean Springs where he and his wife decided to raise their children. He enjoyed spending time with his family above all else and loved his wife and daughters beyond belief. He did not belong to any church but strongly believed in God and felt his family was a gift from Him. His family and friends found him to be a pillar of strength when things were difficult. He loved a challenge and would carry through and persevere until he had succeeded. He died after working on one such seemingly impossible challenge. He won. He always did. Services are scheduled at the Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009, with Deacon Martin Finnegan of St. Elizabeth Seton Church officiating. Friends may call one hour before the services. Burial services will be private at the Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
