Rose Joyce Bethel

Ms. Rose Joyce Bethel, age 79, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, in Ocean Springs. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and lived on the Gulf Coast since 1964. She was a retired US Air Force wife and a Civil Service cook, who enjoyed boating, scuba diving, fishing and traveled extensively. She also enjoyed coast casinos with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Mary Holladay, brother, Fred Holladay, sister, Edna Cole, son-in-law, James Plutino and granddaughter, Miranda Bethel. Rose was a loving mother to her children and is survived by three daughters, Dell Bethel of Foley, AL., Denise Bethel of Birmingham, AL., and Donna Plutino of Biloxi, MS., a son, Charlie Bethel, also of Biloxi, MS., and a brother, Thurman Holladay of Dearborn, Michigan. On Saturday, June 5, 2010, family and friends are invited to gather from 6 pm until 7 pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe to share stories of Roses' life.
