Rose Marie attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Biloxi. On February 19, 1955, Rose Marie married Jim Williams, and they began to build their family together. Although they called many places home, her love for the Mississippi Gulf Coast led them back to their true home in the late eighties. Family was the most important thing to Rose Marie. She treasured every minute that she spent with each member of her family, and she never failed to let each of them know that they were her favorite. Rose Marie was passionate about cooking and enjoyed spoiling those she loved. She received much happiness from her monthly “Cousin’s Club” meetings, especially when it was her month to choose. “Ma" as she was commonly called at home, loved her family and the many friends that became her family... and they loved her!! Her beautiful smile will be missed!
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Taranto and Eula Broussard Taranto; and her grandson, Joseph Williams.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James “Jim” R. Williams Jr. of Biloxi, Mississippi.

Williams III (Christine) of St. Martin, Mississippi, Mark Williams of Biloxi, Mississippi, Gregory Williams (Donna) of Vero Beach, Florida, Stephen Williams (Debbie) of Wiggins, Mississippi, Randy Williams (Teresa) of Biloxi, Mississippi, Kevin Williams of Biloxi, Mississippi and Michael Williams (Amy) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She is also survived by her brother, Salvadore “Penue” Taranto of Biloxi, Mississippi; her aunt, Adelaide Chinn of Biloxi, Mississippi; and many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
