Rosetta June Mitchell

Mrs. Rosetta June Mitchell, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the age of 71. June was born to Victor and Hazel Emert on March 11, 1944 in Morristown, TN. She was raised after the age of three by Robert and Hazel Ridley in Morristown. On January 17th 1964, she married her husband Virgil Mitchell and they have been married for 51 years. June is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Ridley; her father Victor Emert; and her brothers, Fred and Gene Emert. She is survived by her husband, Virgil; daughter, Sherri Mitchell; son, Richard Mitchell; brother, George H. Emert; sister, Margie Brown; and her five grandchildren, Cassandra Eley, Deanna Johnson, John Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, and Mark Mitchell. A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
