Mr. Roy "Hun" Vogle, 65, of Saucier, MS, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mr. Vogle was born in Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the Success communtiy. He was a retired longshoreman and a member of Pentecostals of The Gulf Coast. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.
Mr. Vogle was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Catherine Vogle, and two brothers, Edward "Gobbler" Vogle and Charles "Tenny" Vogle. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley Handler Vogle; two daughters, Detria Vogle and Rachel Vogle; one granddaughter, Kortney Young; brother, Clifford "Doots" Vogle; two nieces, Annette (David) Mercer of Macon, GA and their children, Stephanie, Jessica, David and Dewanya, and Julie Ann Handler of Jackson County; three nephews, Michael (Robin) Handler of St. Martin and their daughter, Alexandra; David (Jennifer) Handler of Gautier and their children Callie, Joel, David Wayne and Caleb, and Christopher (Tammy) Handler of Ocean Springs and their children, Kristien, Austin, Bradley, Josh, and Jocelyn.
Visitation is Sunday, July 31, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pentecostals of The Gulf Coast where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow at Vogle Cemetery in the Success Community.
