Roy Clifford Murphree

Mr. Roy Clifford Murphree, Jr. aged 87 passed away at his residence in Biloxi, MS on September 17, 2021. Roy was born on March 22, 1934 in Pickens, South Carolina to his parents, Roy and Pauline Murphree. He was a long-time resident of the Coast. Roy retired as SGT First Class, E-7 of the United States Army. He was a veteran of Vietnam. Roy was a member of the Republican National Committee, as well as a member of the V.F.W. Roy was preceded in death by his son, Charles Murphree; and his brother, William Murphree. He is survived by his wife, Mary Murphree; his daughters, Patricia Curtis, Rosie McMillon, Janet Murphree Lenoir, and Jocelyn Murphree; his sons, Robert Murphree, Frank Murphree and Matthew Murphree; his stepson, Sammy Jo Higgins; his sisters, Oleta and Lorraine; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 1:30 PM at the Bradford-O’Keefe Pass Road Chapel, located at 2511 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531; where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road in Biloxi, is honored to serve the Murphree family.
