Roy O. Roelfson

Mr. Roy O. Roelfson, 83, of Bay St. Louis, MS, died Thursday March 10, 2005, at at his home after a long illness.Mr. Roelfson was born on August 17, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri He was a decorated World War II Navy Veteran and received many medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a pipefitter and retired to Mississippi in 1980. Mr. Roelfson was a loving husband to his wife of 55 years, H. Patti Roelfson, who preceded him in death in 1996. Mr. Roelfson was also preceded in death by his grandson David Daniel Burk. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Barbara Diane Burk of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, and Donna Christine Bordelon of Slidell, Louisiana; his two sons Robert H. Roelfson of San Diego, California, and Roger D. Roelfson of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. As each day goes by we realize how much he taught us and how proud we are to have had him as our dad. We love you Pop.
