Mr. Roy W. Holliman, Jr., 77, of Latimer, lost his battle with numerous cancers and passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Holliman was born in New Orleans, LA and moved to Biloxi as a small child where he resided for the duration of his life. He was a graduate of Biloxi High School and served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Biloxi V A until his retirement.
Mr. Holliman was preceded in death by his father, Roy W. Holliman, Sr., mother, Lillian Zoret, and brother, Gus Holliman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Opal Wilson Holliman; two daughters, Tammy McMillan (Michael) Schlosser and Rhonda Maguire; son, Roy W. (Shandra) Holliman, III; four grandsons, Timothy McMillan, Corey (Jessica) Maguire, Shane Maguire, and Codey Holliman; and two great grandsons, Liam Maguire and Maddox Fayard.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the second floor nurses at Ocean Springs Hospital and Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
