Roy Joel Webb

Roy Joel “Jay” Webb, age 59 of Perkinston passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Jay was born on April 9, 1963 in Biloxi. He was a life-long resident of the Coast. Jay graduated from St. Martin High School in 1981. He later joined the Navy and served for ten years before being honorably discharged. He was an independent contractor with Fed Ex Ground for fifteen years. He also was employed with NAF at Keesler AFB for ten years. He wasn’t a man who liked a lot of fuss but to know Jay is to love Jay. He was a giving person and never asked for anything in return. He loved to fish, shrimp, crab, cook, and anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Webb; grandfather, Roy Webb; Step grandmother, Catherine Webb; grandmother, Lois Stevens; father-in-law, Jerry Quave; and mother-in-law, Pat Coppic.

Jay is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Debbie Quave Webb; mother, Barbara Webb; sisters, Robbin (Jeff) Taranto and Doris Champagne; sister-in-law, Julie Davis; brothers, Donald Webb, Rory (Doreen) Webb; fur babies, Max, Tee Tee, and M.J.; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors and teams Keesler Hospital, ICU and also Dr. Williams and the staff at Ocean Springs Hospital for all their care and comfort they gave Jay in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to J.C. Animal Shelter or Harrison County Humane Society.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
