Ruby Moss Statham

Mrs. Ruby Statham, 100, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009, in Gulfport. Mrs. Statham was a former resident of St. Petersburg, FL and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Biloxi. Her life was dedicated to serving her Lord through various ministries of the church. Mrs. Statham was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Statham, parents, six sisters, and three brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Nix of Biloxi; son, Jack Statham of Smyrna, TN; sisters, Margie Bates and Sara Woodruff of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Deborah Nix and Howard Nix; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Christina and Hunter; and great great grandchildren, Ellie Grace and Madalynne. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Alzheimer's Association of the South, 14175 S. Country Hills Drive, Gulfport, MS 39503. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
