Ruffus Leonard Medley

Ruffus Leonard Medley, 87, of Ft. Worth, TX passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Ft. Worth. Ruffus was born July 3, 1928 in Iuka, MS to Daniel and Quilla Medley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 22 years of service and a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene in Ft. Worth. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. Ruffus’ survivors include his wife of 69 years, Marie Layton of Iuka, MS; his sons, Ed (Lisa) Medley of Keller, TX and Keith (Connie) Medley of Greer, S.C; his daughter, Becky Medley (Gary) Hampton of Rockledge, FL; his grandchildren, Kevin Hampton, Brock Medley, Brian Hampton, Andrea Medley, Stacey Hampton Harvey, Daniel Medley, Matthew Medley and Michael Medley; and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 350 W. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, MS 39213. Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 12:00 pm. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
