Mr. Rufus "Russell" Baygents, 63, of D'Iberville, MS, died Sunday, November 26, 2006, in Biloxi.
Mr. Baygents was raised in Waynesboro, MS and had been a resident of the Coast for over 40 years. He was retired from B & S Construction Company. He was a loving family man and enjoyed cooking and visiting with his family and friends. He was an avid hunter. Mr. Baygents was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Etta Conn Baygents; sisters, Hazel Crow, Nell McCarty, and his brother, Randy Baygents. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sharon "Peaches" Baygents of D'Iberville; four daughters, Julie Williamson and her husband, Michael Ray, of Woolmarket, Tina Baygents and Jaye Jones of D'Iberville, and Roxanna Wagner and her husband, Mike, of Woolmarket; three sons, Larry Thompson, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, David Thompson and his wife, "Holly", all of D'Iberville, and Wesley Baygents and his wife, Mary Ruth, of Chicago, IL; thirteen grandchildren, Amy, Keith, Gregorie, Rachel, Christina, Jessica, Michael, Raeven, Kristeena, Brandon, Elizabeth, Kevin, and Olivia, and three great grandchildren, Azhlyn, Daydon and Krystlyn.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2006, from 6 until 9 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
