Ruth L. Peterson

Ruth L. Peterson, age 90, died Monday April 28, 2014 in Diamondhead. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin J. Peterson, Sr; her parents, Henry and Lucretia Ladner; two sisters, Audrey Byrd and Cora Ferguson; four brothers, Russell Ladner, Clayton Ladner, Richard Ladner, and Floyd ladner; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey McKay and Tamala Fruges. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Chalmers) Moran of Pass Christian, Faye (Pete) Fruges of Gulfport, and Doris (Steve) Gabriel of Horn Lake, MS; two sons, Bruce (Shelia) Peterson and Ervin J. Peterson, Jr., all of Gulfport; a brother, Joseph Ladner of Ponotoc; 17 grandchildren: 47 great grandchildren; and 32 great great-grandchildren. She is loved and cherished by all of her family and will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery, Gulfport.
