Ruth Murfee Wyatt

Ruth Corbett Murfee Wyatt, age 82, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Ruth was born on November 11, 1941 in Memphis, TN to the late Russell Eugene Murfee and Mary Elizabeth Corbett Murfee. She was a graduate of Biloxi High School, Dominican College in New Orleans, MGCCC in Perkinston, and William Carey College in Hattiesburg. She worked along the side of her husband at W.F. Wyatt, CPA as a Public Accountant. Ruth was a life member of BYC, life member of Les MASQUE Mardi Gras Club, past Queen of Mithras Mardi Gras group, member of Gulf Coast Carnival Association, Bridge Club and a member of the Garden Club.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Wyatt; and by her parents. Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jennifer M. Young (Dwight L.); grandchildren, Connor C. Young; and by her siblings, Faye M. (Don) Hubele, Elizabeth M. (Dino) DeConcini, Maureen R.M. Baca, and “Deenie” Eugenia M. Swarthout.  

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Parish Hall from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
