S/M Sgt Dale W. Sanders

S/M Sgt. Dale W. Sanders, Jr., USAF, Retired, 68, of the Latimer Community died on Monday, January 2, 2012. Dale was born in Denver, CO and moved to Mason City, IA where he remained until high school graduation. Dale started his military career the day after graduation serving in the USAF for the next 24 years including assignments in Vietnam and was stationed on 6 out of the 7 continents. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1992, VFW Post 6731 and the Antique Auto and Engine Club of MS. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Dale William Sanders, Sr. and Helen Francis Swift. He is survived by his wife. Lisa Sanders; daughter, Karen Emma Sanders of OK; sons, Joseph W. (Yadira) Sanders also of OK and Ryan Eric (Elizabeth) Otthofer of Ocean Springs, MS; brother of his heart, Mac (E.C.) Weaver of Biloxi, MS; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one Godchild. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
