Samuel G. Baker

Mr. Samuel G. Baker, age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, July 11, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Baker was born on November 11, 1928, in McCune, Kansas. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired as a S/Sgt. after twenty years of service. He also worked and retired from the Veterans Administration in Biloxi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Stella Baker, sister, Margaret Anders, granddaughter, Heather Kokubun and mother-in-law, Ella Stewart. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Doris Stewart Baker, daughter, Donna Baker (Mike) Kokubun, son, Samuel Gary Baker, sister, Elsie Morrison, two grandchildren, Kevin Kokubun and Crystal Kokubun, and a loving and supportive extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, July 18, 2011, from 10 am until 11 am, with an 11 am Memorial Service, all at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Ocean Springs. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
