Samuel "Sam" Scafidi

Samuel "Sam" Scafidi, 86, of Bay St. Louis died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in Bay St. Louis. He previously served in the U.S. Army and was the owner operator of Evergreen Florist and Garden Center for 31 years. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Presley and Mary Kennedy; and five brothers, J.C. Scafidi, August Sacfidi, Domonic Scafidi, Philip Scafidi, and Tony Scafidi. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Scafidi; a daughter, Susan McCurdy; two granddaughters and three grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Gulf in Bay St. Louis where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
