Mrs. Sandra Carol Yeager of Ocean Springs, MS, ended her long fight Friday, February 19, 2010, to be with Jesus.
She was born December 15, 1939, in Norwich, England.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, TSgt. William "Bill" Yeager of Ocean Springs; mother, Emma Yallop; father, Harry Yallop; and brother, David Yallop, all of Norwich, England.
She is survived by her son, David Yeager and his wife, Stephanie, of Ocean Springs; daughter, Susan Cockroft and her husband, Randy, of Missouri City, Texas; granddaughter, Meggan Reisch and her husband, Chris; grandsons, Jacob Yeager and Tyler Gibson of Ocean Springs, and Alex Cockroft and Andrew Cockroft of Missouri City, Texas; brothers, Michael Yallop and his wife, Joy, and Ashley Yallop and his wife of Norwich, England; sisters, Sheila Guymer of Norwich, England, and Joyce Briston of North Pickenham, England; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She had many dear friends she met through her years of travel with her husband during his career in the United States Air Force.
She was an active member of the Transatlantic Brides Association, King Daughters and she attended St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
Instead of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation in her name to the Literacy Council on Kenneth Street in Pascagoula, MS.
Visitation is Sunday, February 21, 2010, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday at Belle Fountain Baptist Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
