Sandra E. Mejias (Sandra Guerra), born on April 19, 1965, in David, Chiriquí, Panamá, peacefully departed this life on December, 30th, 2024 at the age of 59. A beloved Ocean Springs, Mississippi resident, for the past 16 years, Sandra’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and joy.

She was the cherished daughter of José Abelardo Guerra Espinoza and Cedoina Esther Rivera de Guerra. Sandra pursued her education at the Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias, at the University of Panama, where she cultivated her passion for agricultural sciences.

Sandra began her professional journey as an Agricultural Engineer for the Ministry of Agricultural Development in Panamá. Her dedication to nurturing growth carried her across borders, where she thrived as a recruiter for Craft and Technical Solutions LLC in the United States.

Sandra will forever be remembered for her tenacity, lively spirit, and boundless creativity. She had a unique ability to bring warmth and light into every room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Sandra always sought new adventures, embracing each challenge with enthusiasm and grace, continuously striving to create a better day and a brighter future for her loved ones.

Sandra also had a remarkable talent for capturing the beauty of life through her photography. She dedicated much of her time to preserving cherished memories for others, especially those at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 

Sandra’s legacy of love, steadfastness, and creativity lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her kindness and enriched by her memory.

Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Jose Abelardo Guerra Espinoza. Left to cherish her memory include her mother, Cedoina E. Rivera de Guerra; spouse, Gilberto Mejias; son, Alex Gonzalez; daughter, Ana Gonzalez; son-in-law, Rahul Gopal; adopted son, Blake Tarver; brother, Jorge Guerra; brother, Harry Guerra; sister, Cynthia I. Guerra; and by her nephews and niece.

A service will be held on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
