Ms. Sandra "Sandy" Sue Patrick, 73, of Ocean Springs, MS, fought a courageous struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at her home.
Sandy was born on July 11, 1951 in Raymondville, in Willacy County, TX to the late Lois May née Russell and Seth Wood Patrick, a Pharmacist.
In her youth, she was active in tennis, as a student teacher and office volunteer, student council, marching squad, regional science, art club and prom committee.
After attending college in Texas, she switched to training as a Certified Clinical Electrologist (CCE) and has been a member of The Society of Clinical and Medical Electrologists since 1976.
Since then, she went on to be a successful, women-owned business professional. Patrick Electrolysis had expanded to two locations. One of her patients praised her ability to give confidence and be cared for. Sandy did more than help her customers with unwanted hair, her talent went far beyond her skill; she had a rare gift for truly connecting with people, making them feel heard, understood, and valuable.
She found great pleasure in raising her cats, P'nut, Peaches, and Spock and her dog, Toby. She enjoyed fishing, sailing, gardening, traveling and above all else, cooking. Her collection of handwritten recipes was her passion during her free time.
Sandy was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others. Her greatest love was spending time with her loving companion, Kimberly. They spent the last twenty-four years together and Kim was at her side when she passed.
Her beloved family survivors include her beloved Kimberly Sansevere; her "bonus" stepchildren, Emily Sansevere of Salem, MA and Jonathan Sansevere of Ocean Springs, MS; her sister, Rocklyn Ocker of Houma, LA; nieces, Kandle Prestenbach, Kelly Pellegrin, Lindsay Ocker, and nephew, Quint Ocker; and eight great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her life will be on Saturday, February 22nd at 2 PM at the First Presbyterian Church on Washington Ave., Ocean Springs, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the contribution to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611 https://secure.qgiv.com/for/pulfibfou
