Sara A. Porter

Sara Jacinta Alexander Porter, 31, of Biloxi was called by her Heavenly Father, Sunday, December 12, 2010 from her home in Biloxi. Born March 3, 1979, Sara was a native of Biloxi and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, d’Iberville, MS and Nativity BVM Cathedral, Biloxi, MS. Continuing a long standing Alexander legacy, Sara graduated from St. Martin High School in 1997. Sara was truly a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt and friend. She was always on the go, never failing to organize and make a priority of all her children’s needs, as well as those of her friends and family. She had a beautiful smile that touched everyone’s heart and a kindness that touched everyone’s lives. Even in her own times of need, she always put others before herself, especially her children. She so loved all of her co-workers at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport’s Endocrinology and Cedar Lake Clinics. She is sadly missed by her mom and dad, Joseph and Mary Taconi Alexander of Ocean Springs; her beautiful and loving children, Cedarion Raufell Porter, Alexus Nycole Porter, Cedric Rodequez “CJ” Porter Jr. and Kylee Jade Porter; a caring brother, Micah Joseph Alexander and his girl- friend, Kristen Ishee, both of Ocean Springs; two sisters who adored her, Julie Marie (Matthew) Sigler of Gulfport and Kristen Leigh Alexander of Ocean Springs and her fiancé Jacob Bogard of Latimer; her precious grandparents, Mrs. Althea Taconi of Biloxi and the late August Taconi, Sr., James E. Alexander, MD of Ocean Springs and the late Marjorie Lopez Alexander; her devoted Godparents, William and Joan Alexander Strayham. Her husband, the late Cedric Porter, Sr. and Sara will be remembered by countless loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, family and co-workers. Visitation: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 6-8 p.m., Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue Chapel, Biloxi, where rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Biloxi.
