Sarah Elizabeth Combs of Marietta, GA passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was 38 years old.
Sarah was born November 22, 1979, in Jackson, MS. She attended St. Andrew's Episcopal Lower and Middle Schools in Jackson, where she was a Middle School cheerleader. She attended Jackson Preparatory School for one year before moving to Marietta, GA with her family. She attended George Walton High School and was a member of the Walton Color Guard, and she participated in several regional and national competitions. She graduated from Walton High School in 1998. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she obtained a B.S. in Business Administration. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Worldport branch of the Delta Community Credit Union, located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Sarah enjoyed spending time with her husband Brian, traveling, and University of Alabama football.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mark Gillen and Lillie Catherine (Chinn) Joachim and John Loche and Mary Hazel (Cosby) Bryant.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Brian J. Combs; her parents, John T. “Tom” and Catherine E. (Joachim) Bryant of Marietta, GA; her brother, Jonathan T. Bryant of Boulder, CO; her uncles Gary P. (GeLaine) Joachim of Marietta, GA, Richard M. (Norma) Joachim of El Paso, TX, and David S. Joachim of Slidell, LA; as well as six first cousins and a large extended family.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Sarah will be celebrated Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Cathedral in Biloxi. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until mass time. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
