Sarah Elizabeth Cannette

Sarah Elizabeth Cannette, 78, of North Biloxi passed up into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 10, 2009, due to diabetes complications. She was a charter member of 1st Baptist Church of D'Iberville, now Ramsay Hill Baptist Church where she faithfully taught Sunday school and summer Vacation Bible School for many years. A loving mother, wife, sister and dedicated caretaker to her family members and friends. She truly lived her life in unconditional service to others. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James "Pete" Cannette, her parents, James "Jim" and Gussie Everett (Stovall), sister, Pauline Everett Cannette and brothers, James Joseph and Harrison "Buster" Everett. Survivors include her daughter and two sons, Tammy (Bob) Fayard, Terry (Clair) Cannette, Timmy (Michele) Cannette, all of North Biloxi. Survivors also include her six grandchildren, Tamra (Sonny) Ramsay of Latimer, Clay (Tiffenie) Cannette of North Biloxi, Paige and Darby Fayard of North Biloxi, Cary Cannette, U.S. Army in Germany and Christopher (LaQwen) Cannette, U.S. Army in Hawaii. She was affectionately called Maw Maw Lib by her five great-grandchildren, Kale and Shay Ramsay of Latimer, Pete and Yasmin Cannette of North Biloxi and Piper Fayard of North Biloxi. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a sister, Sherry Everett Glanemann, a brother, Pat (Brenda) Everett, Sr., a sister-in-law, Bernadette Everett and a special cousin, Shirley Gartman Murphy, along with numerous nieces and nephews, her church family and treasured friends. Mom was a precious soul, who has left us for a while, but has been welcomed into paradise for an eternity. (Our prayers were answered….) Visitation will be Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ramsay Hills Baptist Church. Service is Wednesday, January 14, 2009, 9:00 a.m. at Ramsay Hills Baptist Church where friends may visit from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Interment is in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
