Sarvas A. "Buddy" Belton

Mr. Sarvas A. "Buddy" Belton, Jr. of the Fontainebleau Community, passsed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Ocean Springs. Buddy was a lifelong resident of Fontainebleau and helped establish the Fontainebleau Volunteer Fire Department. He served as Chief for twenty-four years. He was a avid shrimper and fisherman and loved his Beagles. Buddy was a devoted father and friend who would offer the "shirt off of his back" to anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarvas and Cornelia Belton, Sr. Survivors include his two daughters, Tammy Belton Mattison (Jeff) and Amyrea Belton Inabinette (Ben); two sons, Michael A. Belton (Carolyn) and John C. Belton (Marlene); two step-sons, Chris Senseney and Scott Senseney; five sisters, Helen Pigford, Althea Trahan (Kevin), Marie Parden (Lonnie) and Dianne Ogle (Hugh) and Linda Duthu (Kirt); two brothers, Emory Belton (Billye) and Robert Belton (Carol); grandchildren, Hayden and Holden Mattison, Crystal and Peyton Belton, Roslyn and Quinn Inabinette, Chelsea and Haley Belton and three great great-grandchildren. Service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
